For many Filipinos, owning a home still feels like a dream. Rent keeps rising. Bills pile up. Savings never seem enough. Yet this October, that dream might finally feel closer.
The National Housing Expo Philippines will welcome nearly 30,000 potential homebuyers on October 23 and 24 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. The event brings together the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), Pag-IBIG Fund, key housing agencies, and the country’s leading developers — all working to make homes more affordable.
This Expo is part of the government’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, which aims to give every Filipino family access to decent housing. Over 100,000 brand-new homes from the top 50 developers will be available through Pag-IBIG Housing Loans. At the same time, more than 30,000 Pag-IBIG-acquired assets will be offered at discounts of up to 40 percent.
A United Effort for Affordable Homes
According to DHSUD Secretary and Pag-IBIG Fund Chairman Jose Ramon P. Aliling, the National Housing Expo unites both government and private developers toward a shared goal: housing for all.
“The Expo brings everyone together to make sure every Filipino family has a fair chance at decent housing,” Aliling said.
This event also highlights National Shelter Month, which includes regional housing fairs in Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, Pampanga, Bacolod, Batangas, and General Santos. Together, these efforts bring the Expanded 4PH Programto communities across the country.
What Visitors Can Expect
Visitors can explore model homes and housing projects in Metro Manila and nearby provinces. They can also undergo on-site loan assessments to find out what kind of home they can afford based on their income.
This feature makes the Expo more practical than ever. It connects real earnings to real options. With guidance from Pag-IBIG Fund officers, visitors can explore affordable loan programs and learn how to start their home-buying journey.
Learning sessions throughout the two-day event will also help first-time buyers understand how to apply for a loan, process requirements, and make smart financial decisions.
Housing for Every Worker
Pag-IBIG Fund CEO Marilene C. Acosta said the Expo shows how collaboration can make housing more inclusive.
“The Expo reflects our shared commitment to help more Filipino workers own homes through affordable financing,” Acosta said. “By working together, we’re turning the goal of dignified housing into reality.”
The National Housing Expo Philippines is more than an event. It’s a reminder that homeownership doesn’t have to stay a dream. With information, access, and support, every Filipino can finally find a place to call their own.
