There’s something about bread that makes people feel safe. Maybe it’s the warmth, the softness, or the simple act of sharing it with someone you love.

In Luis Bakery Cuenca Batangas, it’s all of that—and more. One year since it opened its doors in the “Home of the Bakers,” this small-town bakery is quietly becoming a community staple, one pandesal at a time.

And now, they’re celebrating the milestone with a weeklong offering of sweet, buttery gratitude.

One Peso Pandesal and a Full Tray of Thanks

To mark their first anniversary, Luis Bakery is bringing back their beloved piso pandesal promo on July 21, 2025—a nod to nostalgia and neighborhood generosity. That means freshly baked pandesal for just one peso, warm from the oven.

The first 30 customers at their flagship store in Cuenca will also receive 30% off, while the next 50 guests get 20% off every single-receipt purchase. In a time when prices are up and storms are raging, it’s a small but heartfelt gesture: good bread, made accessible to more families.

A photobooth will also be set up throughout the week—capturing moments of joy between batches of ensaimada and trays of mamon.

Ensaimada Mallorca-Squash is a spiral shape pastry with brioche-like texture made with creamy squash, a versatile vegetable in Filipino cuisine.

New Bakes, Familiar Warmth

Luis Bakery isn’t just celebrating the past year—it’s launching new creations inspired by Filipino ingredients and textures we know by heart. According to Luis Chavez, COO of TFB Foods Corporation and the bakery’s namesake:

“We remain true to our dedication to innovate more products for our beloved clients. We’ll be launching new products including Ensaimada Mallorca-Custard, Ensaimada Mallorca-Squash, Ube Cream Cheese Bread, and Yema Mamon Toast.”

Ube Cream Cheese Bread has a glimmering vibrant purple center that is mouthwatering. Ube or Purple Yam is a staple in Filipino cuisine that tastes light, sweet and vanilla-like.

Each product honors a different flavor memory. The Ensaimada Mallorca-Squash adds creamy local kalabasa to a buttery spiral of brioche-like dough, while the Ube Cream Cheese Bread glows with vibrant purple and sweet-savory richness. The Yema Mamon Toast? Crisped on the edges, soft in the center, and filled with the custard-based sweetness that generations of Filipino kids grew up on.

Expect free tastings of these new pastries during the anniversary week—because the best way to win over Batangueños is still through the stomach.

From Cuenca to LIMA: A Quiet Expansion

Earlier this year, Luis Bakery opened its first branch at The Outlets at LIMA Estate, bringing its Luis-Delicious breads and pastries to a wider audience of tourists, shoppers, and neighboring communities. It’s a deliberate, measured step—not just to grow, but to stay rooted in what made them special in the first place: warm service, honest baking, and flavors that feel like home.

In the coming months, the bakery also plans to stock a curated collection of Batangueño pasalubong products, positioning itself as a one-stop pasalubong shop that showcases the diversity of local tastes—from classic pastries to homegrown snacks and delicacies.

Baking the Filipino Way

Luis Bakery is managed by TFB Foods Corporation, a proudly Filipino company committed to preserving and evolving the country’s baking traditions. With its home base in Cuenca—long known as a cradle of Filipino bakers—the company envisions a future where Filipino baking techniques, both traditional and modern, find their place on the global stage.

And it’s doing that the best way it knows how: not with hype, but with heart. One generous promo. One thoughtful expansion. One comforting pastry at a time.

In Luis Bakery’s golden crusts and vibrant fillings lies something more than indulgence. It’s a reminder that the Filipino way of baking—rooted in care, culture, and community—still rises, even on the rainiest days.
