Basketball games are all about the action on the court, but the fun doesn’t stop when the players take a timeout. GAC Philippines is bringing a new kind of entertainment to the stands with “Front Seat Faces,” an interactive fan activation that combines basketball excitement with the funny, relatable moments Filipinos experience on the road.
Launched as part of the brand’s “Go Above Competition” sports marketing campaign with Cignal TV and TV5, the activity rolls out across UAAP Season 89 and the PBA Governors’ Cup.
Putting Fans in the Spotlight

During game timeouts and quarter breaks, selected fans representing competing teams are invited to act out different driving scenarios. Hosted live inside the arena, the challenges put their facial expressions and acting skills to the test.
Imagine trying to keep a straight face after spilling hot coffee on your white shirt before an important meeting. Or picture yourself spotting a white lady while driving along the famously spooky Balete Drive.
Other scenarios include getting caught picking your nose at a stoplight, seeing your favorite basketball player on the sidewalk, and realizing you’re not on mute during a work meeting from your car.
Fans compete to deliver the most dramatic reactions, with arena bragging rights and exclusive prizes from GAC Philippines up for grabs.
Connecting Everyday Life and Mobility

Beyond the laughs, Front Seat Faces reflects GAC Philippines’ effort to connect its vehicles with the everyday experiences of Filipino drivers.
The campaign’s “Go Above Competition” theme highlights innovation, performance, and continuous improvement—values that the brand associates with athletes competing at the highest level.

Throughout the season, basketball fans can also see selected vehicles up close, including the AION UT, an all-electric hatchback designed for urban mobility, and the GN8 PHEV, a plug-in hybrid multipurpose vehicle built around space, comfort, and convenience.
Exploring GAC’s Vehicle Lineup

The brand’s arena displays will feature other models from its growing lineup, including the AION V, E8 HEV, GS4 Max HEV, All-New GN6, and 2026 Emzoom.
These displays give fans, families, and car enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the vehicles’ interiors, features, and technology while enjoying game day.
According to Calvin Cheng, president of GAC Philippines, the initiative is about creating memorable experiences beyond the competition itself. “Sports isn’t just about intense competition on the hardwood, it is also about bringing fans together and sharing memorable, joy-filled moments,” Cheng said.
The activation forms part of GAC Philippines’ broader partnership with Cignal TV and TV5, which spans the PBA, UAAP, and Premier Volleyball League (PVL). For basketball fans, the next game could bring more than buzzer-beaters and thrilling plays. It might also be the chance to show off their best game face.
