Weekends are getting a little more flavorful at Wyndham Garden Manila Bay, where guests can enjoy grilled specialties, a generous buffet, and drinks under the open sky. Now, the hotel’s Barbecue Night at Garden by the Bay runs every Friday and Saturday for ₱1,288 per person, with food and drinks included.
Launched on October 3, 2026, the dining experience brings together Filipino barbecue favorites, international grilled selections, and the relaxed atmosphere of an outdoor garden setting. At the same time, its opening gave guests another reason to gather, as the hotel welcomed the first major showcase of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2026.
A Weekend Feast by the Bay

The hotel introduced Barbecue Night during “Radiance by the Bay,” the first major showcase of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2026. That evening, guests enjoyed dinner from the grill as the pageant candidates made their first major appearance of the season, bringing together food, hospitality, and celebration.
Chef Andrew Ko, Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef of Wyndham Garden Manila Bay, shared that the team had been preparing for the launch for some time. In fact, the hotel worked alongside Mutya ng Pilipinas to create an opening that would showcase both the new dining experience and the garden setting.
“We really prepared for this,” Ko said.
Filipino Favorites Meet International Flavors

At the heart of the experience is a grill serving two styles of barbecue. For one, the Filipino street-style selection cooks outdoors beside the hotel’s new al fresco mobile bar. Meanwhile, the international spread features sausages, steaks, salmon, and tuna.

To complement the grilled offerings, the kitchen also prepares its own sinamak, the spiced vinegar traditionally enjoyed with grilled dishes in Western Visayas. Made with chilies, garlic, ginger, and langkawas, the condiment adds a sharp, aromatic kick to every bite.
“We make our sinamak from scratch,” Ko said. “We ferment it one to two weeks before we serve it.”
More Than Just the Grill

Beyond the barbecue station, diners can explore carving stations featuring meats and seafood. In addition, a grazing table offers more choices, while the dessert section serves pastries, cakes, fresh fruits, and local donuts.
The experience continues at the mobile bar, which serves cocktails, mocktails, and beer. As a result, guests can settle into the garden with a full plate and a drink in hand.
A Reason to Come Back
The opening night also highlighted the partnership between the hotel and Mutya ng Pilipinas. During the showcase, Wyndham Garden Manila Bay Resident Manager Charmaine Sy presented an award, adding another celebratory moment to the evening.
Barbecue Night is open to both hotel guests and outside diners. Better yet, the menu will change every month according to a different theme, giving returning guests something new to discover each time.
For Ko, however, the appeal remains simple: a generous spread, good food, and an enjoyable evening shared with others.
“There’s a big spread and a lot for you to taste,” he said. “What we expect is that you will enjoy yourselves.”
