Gritty, rebellious edge of post-punk revival.

Originating as a close music project between friends John Roxas and Arvy Zafra in Iloilo, Philippines, Aviators is a dynamic chamber rock duo that seamlessly blends the nostalgic melodies of retro-pop.

Their unique sonic identity is defined by a sophisticated fusion of heavy guitars, pounding drums, lush vocal harmonies, and ornate, cinematic orchestral arrangements.

Drawing heavy inspiration from iconic acts like David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, Julian Casablancas, Oasis, and Pulp, the duo has carved out a distinct space in the music scene by pushing listeners in unexpected directions while maintaining the comforting familiarity of classic pop hooks.

Aviators Take Us on a Sonic Ride with “Come & Go”

Chamber rock duo Aviators are back in a major way!

Thanks to their new single, “Come & Go”—out today via Offshore Music—the band is officially reclaiming their spot in everyone’s daily music rotation.

What originally started out as a casual, Iloilo-based project between long-time friends John Roxas and Arvy Zafra has beautifully evolved over the years.

Today, they are known for creating a distinct musical landscape that blends dreamy retro-pop with ornate orchestral arrangements and gritty post-punk energy. While their October 2025 track “Hollow” gave us a taste of this signature vibe, their newest release pushes boundaries even further.

Consequently, the track delivers a cinematic, fast-paced rush that intentionally makes you feel like you are chasing after every single note.

The Genius Behind the Madness

To break down the inspiration, vocalist and guitarist John Roxas explains that he wanted a song with a frenetic energy—reminiscent of a high-octane James Bond movie soundtrack.

Because the lyrics revolve around the fleeting nature of things that transiently come and go, a fast, forward-driving rhythm felt like the perfect sonic metaphor.

Interestingly, this track is actually a decade in the making, as the duo first began experimenting with these specific orchestral soundscapes all the way back in 2016.

In addition to the song hitting streaming platforms today, fans can also check out a brilliant new lyric video on Offshore Music PH’s official YouTube channel, brought to life by creators Danille Yzjl Eligue, Renzky Avelino, and Jyzle Xylex Monzon.

A Fast-Growing Legacy

Looking at the bigger picture, this single marks an exciting new chapter for a band that has been turning heads since their 2020 debut single, “I Got U.”

Following that initial success, their 2022 album Analogies On Love earned them prestigious Awit Awards nominations, solidifying their reputation alongside powerhouse influences like David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, and Julian Casablancas.

Furthermore, this current release is just a prelude to something bigger. The final installment of Aviators’ grand orchestral exploration is officially scheduled to drop this coming July.

You can stream “Come & Go” right now across all major platforms, and don’t forget to follow their journey on Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
