Vegetarian Yakimeshi Recipe

Ingredients
  

Set A: Base Vegetables

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped leeks
  • 1/4 cup chopped baguio beans
  • 1/4 cup diced carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mushrooms shiitake or button

Set B: Protein

  • 1/2 cup soy-based ground meat substitute rehydrated as per package instructions

Set C: Seasoning and Rice

  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cups day-old cooked rice preferably cold
  • 1 tbsp Japanese soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper

Set D: Finishing Touches

  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup extra leeks sliced thinly
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
