LUMPIANG SARIWA

With our simpol recipe, you can now easily make this delicious fresh lumpia from scratch – with crepe wrappers, delicious filling and sweet-savory peanut sauce! Looks really appetizing, right? Make some today!

Serves 3 to 5. 

 For the Lumpia Wrapper

INGREDIENTS:

 Set A: 

  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Set B: 

  • 4 pieces egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 cup water or fresh milk

For the Lumpia Filling

 INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tablespoons corn oil
  • 1 piece onion, minced
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • ½ cup shrimps, chopped
  • 4 cups ubod (heart of palm), boiled until tender and julienned 
  • Fish sauce, to taste
  • Black Pepper, to taste
  • Shrimp head juice, from the shrimp

 

For the Lumpia Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

  • ¼ cup cornstarch or potato starch
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups water 
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 4 tablespoons garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • Black Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
