Pillow-soft donuts with a bit of chewiness. Fill or glaze them. Totally satisfying.

INGREDIENTS:
Set A:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. instant yeast
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 whole egg
1 cup warm milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup Golden Fiesta Palm Oil

Set B (for frying):
6 cups Golden Fiesta Palm Oil

PROCEDURE:

A. Mix the Set A ingredients except oil until well combined. As soon as all the ingredients are wet, add the oil and knead together until the dough is smooth and stretchy. Shape into a ball and rest for an hour or double in size. On a flourdusted surface, turn out the dough and knead for 10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth. Let rest for 10 minutes and divide it into 8 to 16 pieces, then shape into balls. Flatten with the palm of your hands. You may cut out donut holes using a wellgreased cookie cutter if desired. Allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes before frying.

B. Fry over medium heat until golden brown.

You can choose your desired glaze or filling to personalize your donuts.

Basic Sugar Glaze:

Mix everything in a bowl until smooth. Adjust the amount of milk if needed. Add your choice of food color or flavor you desire.
